The main components of a wax pen are the battery and the chamber or atomizer. Within the chamber of a wax pen is typically a pad, or plate where the concentrate is placed. Wax pens chambers are typically made with ceramic or quartz, as both these materials produce amazing tasting wax, and retain heat very well. 

Wax pen batteries also tend to come with a wider range of temperature options, since each type of concentrate consistency is vaporized best at a different level. This allows the user to be able to enjoy a variety of concentrates while using the same device. 

Both wax and dab pen batteries typically have “510- threading” which is the universal threading between batteries, atomizers and cartridges. The typical  wax pen charger  is usually 510-threaded as well, meaning they will work universally with many different brands and types of batteries.
